The Holiday Season is upon us!  The back to back to back marathon of chagim is many things: a nice break, an excuse to see family, a lot of running around to make sure all things plant and animal are taken care of.  Here’s a big thank you in advance to everyone helping out here over the next couple of weeks.

Because of the holidays, there are some changes in the CSA drop days, please put them in your calendar!  The times are still the same.

  • Tuesday, September 3 (no pick up on Sept. 5)
  • Tuesday, September 17 (no pick up on Sept. 19)
  • Tuesday, September 24 (no pick up on Sept. 26)

The share included:

  • Arugula (bunch) 
  • Peppers (1 big 4 little) 
  • Eggplant OR Okra OR Beans
  • Beets OR Carrots OR Radishes
  • Basil OR Dill 
  • Tomatoes (5+)
  • Cherry Tomatoes (1 pint)
  • Potatoes (1.5 lb)
  • Hot Peppers (2+)

Potato Arugula Salad

  • 1.5 lb potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 cloves minced garlic (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • I bunch of arugula, rinsed, dried, and torn
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.  Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes.  Drain, and cool.  Transfer to a large bowl
  2. Meanwhile, mix vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.  Drizzle in olive oil, whisking until mixture thickens.
  3. Toss potatoes with vinegar and oil mixture and arugula.  Serve at room temperature
