Tu B'Shvat Greenhouse Seder
After Havdalah, enjoy a Tu B'Shvat seder and celebrate rebirth in the midst of winter by planting seeds in Pearlstone’s new organic greenhouse. Afterwards, we’ll learn about the global greenhouse effect as we watch Al Gore’s critically acclaimed film on global warming, “An Inconvenient Truth”.
Passover Harvest Freedom Party
Celebrate the full agricultural significance of Pesach: not only is Passover a commemoration of the Exodus from Egypt, it is also the spring harvest festival! Plant, harvest, and learn how the Torah’s agricultural laws mandate freedom and justice for all people.
Lag B'Omer Extravaganza!
Choose your own Lag B’Omer adventure: play sports, do yoga, learn tai chi, work on the farm, climb the ropes course, create nature art, write a song, enjoy an eco-spa, or cook a local organic meal fresh from the Pearlstone Farm! We’ll celebrate into the night with a bonfire jam session (bring instruments!)
Shavuot Shindig
Celebrate the full agricultural significance of Shavuot: not only does Shavuot commemorate our receiving the Torah on Mt. Sinai, it is also the summer harvest festival! Plant, harvest, and learn how the Torah’s agricultural laws teach both social and environmental sustainability.
Sukkot Sleepover
Celebrate the fall harvest festival on a functioning Jewish organic farm!!! Sleep and eat in the sukkah. Learn about the significance of water on Sukkot. Join us as we reap the bountiful harvest of our first season at Pearlstone. Finish the high holy days rejoicing amidst vibrant Jewish community. Celebrate Sukkot, Hoshanah Rabbah, Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, and Shabbat Bereshit!
