A Jewish Teen Summit on Hunger
June 24 - 28, in Washington, DC
Hungry for Change? Join teens from around the country for five days in Washington, DC as they take on today's hottest issues around hunger.
- How does what I eat impact the environment?
- What is Kosher, and why does it matter?
- How can I promote healthy eating?
- How can I fight hunger?
Together, you'll be able to answer the tough questions about food, beyond "What's for dinner?"
PB&J: A Jewish Teen Summit on Hunger welcomes Jewish teens from around the country to Washington, DC. Over the course of five days in the Nation's capital teens will have the opportunity to celebrate Shabbat and Havdalah amongst the monuments, engage in service and advocacy, meet with their Congressional offices, and make strides in eliminating hunger in America and the world.
The teens will stay in a DC hotel, join together for meals, sessions, and educational programming. The seminar includes interactive sessions in which teens relate Jewish texts and values to the world around them. Students also receive political and issue advocacy training.
