Week 14

We have a lot to do here

We have a lot to do here at Pearlstone, and I certainly can’t do it all by myself.  We have a fantastic staff of individuals who do all sorts of things from cooking to cleaning to event planning to maintenance, and of course, farming.  I’d like to give a shout out to all of our apprentices, who have instrumental in the success of the farm and CSA.  Coming from all backgrounds, this amazing group of people have carried huge tubs of squash in from the fields, they’ve sorted through onions to make sure they are all up to par, they climb through jungles of tomatoes to get every one, they wash every leaf of lettuce, and they all do it with a smile.   So if you see Eli, Elisheva, Jacob, Michael, Ori, Persephone, Rebecca, and Sonia, give them a high 5 and a thank you.

Week 15’s share included:

  • 2 squash or cucumbers
  • 1 bunch swiss chard OR Eggplants OR 1 quart okra
  • 1 bunch sweet potato greens
  • ½ lb green beans
  • 1 large and 3 small peppers
  • 1 large and 3 small onions
  • 6 Tomatoes
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 2 heads garlic
  • 1 bunch basil or dill
  • Hot Peppers
